marian the librarian

ok. well her name is melissa. but close right. she graciously modeled for kristen and i [per kristen's request] for our "executive" shoot. for portrait class.

i love her vintage dress. and the monochromatic composition.

she's gorgeous. and was perfect for the shoot.

i love the ancient books in the library.

kristen and i were not looking forward to this, but really got into it.

they turned out great.

i promised i would show you my prints.

while i was up ALL night, making books, getting my prints ready for the art sale, taking photographs of projects, and all that other wonderful nonsense, i took some shots of the goodness done in printmaking.

these are all on sale now along with some lovely little handmade books.

i am going to do an(other) edition of these next semester, they will be perfect and pretty and pristine.

so start your salivating

wait for the etsy shop

and don't steal

and now what you have all been waiting for:

combo ii:

combo iii:
and then i bought some goodies from e. house
so hopefully more prints and some books will sell so i can reimburse myself

this little fishy

in my book arts' class we are making a collaborative (everyone, well each group of two, makes 18 identical pages to give to everyone in the class) book... and this collaborative book is a pop-up! cool! i know! so my partner and i are doing the rainbow fish. to make our rainbow fish 18 times we used a gocco press. it is the neatest little gadget/japanese childrens toy, and of course i want one, and of course they have stopped making them. anyways... here's our rainbow fish pop up in the making.
